Ray Proust Optometrist started in 1980 as an independently-owned family-run business, servicing the Illawarra and beyond since 1980. We joined Chemist Warehouse Optometry in 2025 and Ray and his team continue to welcome all new and existing patients to our clinic, located in Figtree Grove Shopping Centre across from Flight Centre.
We are proud to provide our patients with; Medicare bulk-billed comprehensive eye examinations, direct health fund claims available with all major funds. We use the latest advanced clinical technology to help maintain optimal eye health, as well as an extensive range of spectacle and sunglass frames and lenses to suit all budgets and lifestyles.

Parking & How to Find us

You’ll find us within Figtree Grove. Enter via The Avenue entrance near Coles/Woolworths, take your first right at Oliver Brown and you will see our shop on the left. 3 hour parking and all day parking is available in the centre carpark. Please read the appropriate signs so you know where to park.

Eye examination are bulk billed to Medicare and include advanced technology such as OCT 3D scans and widefield retinal imaging at no extra cost*.

Wheelchair access available via all three ground entrances to Figtree Grove. Please contact the store for details on doorway widths and further accessibility information.

An accessible bathroom is located within Figtree Grove. Our staff will be happy to direct you.
